Comparing different products

A cheap headline price may be the self-visit tier, while a pricier rival is fully guided. Before you rank anything, make sure each column describes the same level of service.

Ignoring the clock

Two day excursions from Paris to the same place can give you very different time on site. A later start or a longer lunch stop eats into the visit. Ask for the full timetable, not only the list of stops.

Forgetting the people

The right tour for a solo history fan may be wrong for a family with young children. The Normandy tour, for instance, welcomes children but is a long, sombre day. Score each row with your own group in mind.

Reading the finished card

Honest notices are a strong signal. Paris City Vision, for example, states that from February 2026 access to Pointe du Hoc is partly restricted by renovation work, and that non-EU residents need a passport for Bruges.
